Period pain can affect teens’ school, social, and home life. Mindful Monthlies is an app for teens who struggle with period pain.
The Mindful Monthlies app includes:
- Educational and research-backed information about period pain
- Educational and research-backed information about mindfulness
- Mindfulness meditation audios to help with pain, emotions, self-care, and daily stressors
- Mindfulness activities that are not meditation-based to help with pain, emotions, self-care, and daily stressors.
This app was developed in collaboration with real teens and a team of researchers. The development of this app was funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. We are currently testing Mindful Monthlies to see how effective it is for youth. This app is accessible to youth registered in our research studies through an access code provided by the research team.
